A Windows machine as the fixed point of a travelling setup
Desktop MetaTrader is written for a computer that stays on. Several charts fit on a full screen at once, templates and saved profiles survive a restart, and a machine that is not carried anywhere keeps the same layout from one week to the next. For someone who is often out of the country, that computer becomes the reference the smaller screens are compared against.
The installation itself is a one-time job on Windows 10 or 11, and the installer is worth taking from the platform's own download page rather than from a search result or a file passed between colleagues, since the name of a terminal build is trivially easy to imitate.
None of this ties the account to the desk. The same login opens on a phone during a trip and on the desktop again afterwards, and neither one has to be told what the other did. A machine left running at home simply keeps its charts current until somebody sits back down in front of it.
How Exness runs on a Windows PC
On a desktop PC, Exness runs through the MetaTrader 5 and MetaTrader 4 Windows terminals, which install on Windows 10 and Windows 11. The download links are in the Exness account area once you have signed in.
Desktop app or web on the PC
If you would rather not install a desktop app, the Exness Terminal runs in any browser on the PC with nothing to download. MetaTrader gives more advanced charting and automated trading; the web terminal starts without an install.
